Katherine (Katie) Contreras

Katie, a National Registry Paramedic, has been involved in emergency care for 19 years in
Central Texas. Currently her roles include full-time faculty at Austin Community College within
the EMSP program. She also continues to maintain PRN connections with San Marcos Hays
County EMS, and as adjunct faculty with ALERRT. Katie manages social media accounts and
community engagement for SMHCEMS, as well as serving on the Social Media team at ACC.
Katie holds Texas certifications in EMS & Fire, various AHA and NAEMT Instructor
certifications, IBSC's TP-C and CP-C certifications, a BA in Disaster & Emergency
Management, and an MBA from Columbia College SC. She owns Come And Take It CPR &
Safety Training, LLC and plays football with the Austin Outlaws.
